Point Calculator

The point system is used to evaluate the applicant’s eligibility for Canadian permanent residence. The system evaluates the applicant’s education, skilled work experience, age, and language proficiency.

A candidate can apply for Canadian permanent residence under one of the following categories:

-Skilled Worker: The applicant must have a minimum of 1 year of skilled work experience in Canada or 2 years of skilled work experience outside Canada.

-Business Investor: Must have a net worth of CAD 1,600,000 and make an investment in a qualifying business in Canada.

-Entrepreneur: Must have a net worth of CAD 300,000 and create at least 1 new full-time job for Canadians or permanent residents in Canada.

-Self-Employed Persons: Must have been self-employed outside Canada for at least 2 years within 3 years before applying with at least 2 years of full-time business activity before applying.

-Family Sponsorship: To be eligible as an accompanying family
